Types of alerts include:
- Your checking, savings or credit line balance is above or below a threshold you choose
- A deposit, withdrawal, or check posts to your account
- Your current online statement is available
- A change has occurred within your account information or settings within e-Banking
- A transfer has successfully processed or has failed to process
- An e-bill is ready to review
- A bill payment has been sent
- A bill’s due date is approaching

To begin using SmartBank alerts, log in to online banking and choose Alerts in the Services section of the menu.
Text Alert Commands
To enroll in SmartBank’s Text Alert Service follow these simple steps:
1. Login to your online banking account from a desktop or laptop
2. Select “Alerts” under the “Self-Service” tab and follow these simple instructions.

| BAL | BAL (account name) To check account balance on your account nicknamed “primary”, send this text to 498-75: BAL PRIMARY | Sends your current available balance |
| HST | HST (account name) To receive the last 10 transactions on your account nicknamed “mine”, send this text to 498-75: HST MINE | Sends the last 10 transactions |
| XFER | XFER (from account name) (to account name) (amount to transfer) To transfer $50 from your savings account named “savings” to your checking account named “primary”, send this text to 498-75: XFER SAVINGS PRIMARY 50 | Allows you to transfer funds between your text enabled accounts |
