GATLINBURG, TN (July 30, 2009) – On Friday, July 24th, SmartBank hosted a Business During Lunch event with the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce to celebrate one year in Gatlinburg at its office located at 570 East Parkway.
Erin Moran, Events & Programs Director at the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce, said, “Billy Carroll and his staff did an amazing job putting the event together. Their support in our community is wonderful, and we couldn’t ask for a better way to spend such a beautiful Friday afternoon than by celebrating the one year anniversary of SmartBank’s Gatlinburg Branch. In fact, SmartBank is still the only Gold Level participant in the Gatlinburg Goes Green program. They have truly set the bar and we challenge all of our businesses to take steps both large and small to improve their environmental impact, just as SmartBank has done since its inception”.
SmartBank celebrated with a summer barbeque and guests were able to learn more about several accounts and services offered by SmartBank including the recently launched SmartGreen Account which directly benefits the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Representatives from Friends of the Smokies and Great Smoky Mountains Association were on hand distributing information about their organizations. Also in attendance were representatives from the National Park Service.
Billy Carroll, SmartBank President & CEO, said “We are pleased to host an event with the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce celebrating our first anniversary in Gatlinburg. The support we’ve seen from the Gatlinburg community has been tremendous, and we are thrilled with the growth this branch has achieved over its first 12 months.”
