William L. (Bill) Yoder, Chief Banking and Deposit Officer, is a Tullahoma native. He graduated for the University of the South in Sewanee, TN in 1988 with a BA in Economics. He earned his MBA degree from Owen Business School at Vanderbilt University in 2001.
Mr. Yoder has over 30 years of lending, banking and leadership experience. He held numerous positions with First American Bank in Nashville, Tennessee from 1989 until 1996. Bill joined TransFinancial Bank in 1996 as the District Manager for Southern Tennessee and remained with this organization as it went through three mergers (from TransFinancial Bank to Star Bank to Firstar Bank to US Bank). He left USBank in 2004 to form The Bank of Tullahoma which opened in November of 2005. He served as the President and CEO of this institution until May of 2018 when it was merged with SmartBank of Knoxville, TN. He is an honors graduate from the Tennessee School of Banking, as well as a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU where he was an honors scholarship recipient.
Active in the community, Bill is a member of the Tullahoma Noon Rotary Club where he is a past president. He currently serves as treasurer for the Tullahoma Education Foundation for Excellence and for his church, First United Methodist. He has served on the executive board of the South Jackson Civic Center, board member for Habitat for Humanity and board member of the Coffee County Children’s Advocacy Center. Bill served as District Chair of the Friends of Scouting for a number of years. He and his wife, Lane, have two teenage sons, Cooper and Spencer.
