Diane Short, EVP Human Resources
SmartBank is pleased to announce the addition of Diane Short as Executive Vice President of Human Resources.
As Executive Vice President of Human Resources, Diane will operate out of SmartBank’s Pigeon Forge office where she will be responsible for developing HR strategy and programs for SmartBank, including developmental programs, training programs and other employee and organizational initiatives.

Diane is a skilled Human Resource professional and consultant with over 20 years of experience. She brings a wealth of knowledge from working with leading organizations in various industries including hospitality, finance, retail and transportation. Prior to SmartBank she served as Vice President – Employee Relations, Talent Management and Recruiting of Gaylord Entertainment Corporation, where she focused on developing and managing cooperative team environments while exceeding performance benchmarks. Diane attended Georgia State University. She and her husband, Billy, have recently relocated to Sevier County from the Nashville area.
