PIGEON FORGE, TN (December 16, 2009) – SmartBank President & CEO, Billy Carroll, recently announced promotions. “We are fortunate that our growth continues to be strong and much of this is credited to the associates we employ. Lindsay S. Bennett was promoted to Compliance Officer. Lindsay began her career with SmartBank one year ago. Lindsay graduated from the University of Tennessee where she earned a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship & Innovation, a Master of Science in Human Resource Development and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She recently earned certification as a Community Bank Compliance Officer from ICBA. Lindsay resides in Knoxville with her husband, Dan.

Erin Will Strance was recently promoted to Banking Officer. She joined SmartBank’s Business Development team in October 2008. Erin holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University. Erin is a life-long resident of Sevier County graduating from Sevier County High School in 1997, and is the daughter of Rittner and Carolyn Will. She is currently participating in the Leadership Tomorrow class of 2010 and is an active mentor for Girls of the Run. She is also an Instrument Rated Pilot and an outdoor enthusiast. She and her husband, Kye, reside in Sevierville.

Michael White was promoted to Banking Officer for SmartBank, where he has served in the IT division for over 3 years. Michael holds an AS in Electronics Technology and an AS in Information Technology from Fountain Head College. He is currently pursuing a BS in Network Security and Computer Forensics. He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator and a Certified Community Bank Technology Officer. Michael is a Sevier County native who currently resides in Sevierville with his wife, Shannan and their children, Ethan and Evan. Michael is a member of New Era Baptist Church and coach for the AYSO Region 440 U5 Soccer team.
