SmartBank Promotes Christopher and Clabo

SmartBank, a subsidiary of SmartFinancial, Inc., recently announced the promotions of Brandon Christopher and Connie Clabo.

Brandon Christopher has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Brandon joined SmartBank in 2012 as Vice President and Director of IT.  Brandon has more than nine years of experience in the banking industry and now oversees all of SmartBank’s core operational functions which include IT, Deposit Operations, and Client Services. Brandon is currently a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); he received these certifications in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Brandon resides in Sevierville with his wife, April, and two children.

Connie Clabo has been named Vice President and Loan Operations Manager. Connie joined SmartBank during organization in 2006 and currently has more than twenty years of banking experience. She will continue to play a vital role in the daily management of SmartBank’s Loan Operations Department. Connie received her Associate of Science Degree in Business and Computer Science from Walter’s State Community College in 1986. She has served on the Sevier County High School Baseball Booster Board for the last six years, and as the Vacation Bible School Director at New Era Baptist Church for the last ten years. Connie currently resides in Sevierville with her husband, Russell, and two sons.
