November 16, 2016 – SmartBank’s Sevier County Market Executive, Bobby Castle, presented a $7,500.00 check to the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont as part of its Park Partners Program.
Each time a SmartBank debit card holder performs a signature-based transaction, they are helping contribute to SmartBank’s Park Partners Program which began in 2009. This year alone, SmartBank has contributed $30,000 benefitting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park through its partnerships with Tremont, Friends of the Smokies and Great Smoky Mountains Association. Billy Carroll, SmartBank President and CEO stated, “SmartBank is truly honored to partner with Tremont and other local organizations whose missions align with our own mission of protecting the greatest assets in the communities we serve. And with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in our backyard, our Park Partners Program is most fitting and a great way to fulfill these missions.”
“We are so thankful for SmartBank and their support,” said Jennifer Jones, PhD, Tremont Institute President and CEO. “Today they helped give more underserved students a transformative education experience at Tremont. The connection to nature grown here is long-lasting and helps create happier people and a healthier planet.”
