Due to SmartBank's tremendous growth and geographic expansion into three states, we feel it's important to standardize our branch hours of operation across all markets. Our new hours of operation will begin on September 1st and are as follows:  Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm; Friday 8:30am-6:00pm; Saturday 8:30am-12:00pm (drive-thru only and applicable to branches currently open on Saturdays.) PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. – June 14, 2017 – SmartBank, a subsidiary of SmartFinancial, Inc., is proud to announce Dustin Brackins, First Vice President, Relationship Manager, has completed the Graduate School of Banking program at Louisiana State University.

“The Graduate School of Banking at LSU is considered one of the most prestigious banking schools in the country, and we are thrilled Dustin was able to represent SmartBank during his time there,” said SmartBank Sevier County Executive, Bobby Castle. “The knowledge he has gained through this experience in invaluable, and we as a company are so proud of his dedication and perseverance over the last three years.”

Brackins brings several years of experience to his position at SmartBank, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Tusculum College and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from East Tennessee State University (ETSU). While at ETSU, Brackins was the top finance major from 2005 through 2006. He is actively involved in his community including his role as Vice Chairman for the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, Live It Ministries, and is a member of the Pigeon Forge Rotary Club. He and his wife, Colleen, and two children, Cortland and Ella, are members of Pathways Church.

For over a half century, the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University has been a major provider of advanced financial education in the United States. The program is presented by the Southern States Conference at Louisiana State University and sponsored by several southern State Bankers Associations. Sessions for the three-year program are held each spring on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, and students are expected to complete extensive bank study assignments in between. The School’s purpose is to fill the need for graduate level study by bank officers and others meeting admission requirements leading toward a broader knowledge and understanding of major banking functions.
