SMARTFINANCIAL, INC. COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF FOOTHILLS BANCORP, INC.
On November 1st, SmartFinancial, Inc., Knoxville, Tennessee (“SmartFinancial”) (Nasdaq: SMBK), parent company of SmartBank, announced the completion of its previously-announced acquisition of Foothills Bancorp, Inc., Maryville, Tennessee (“Foothills Bancorp”), and Foothills Bancorp’s wholly owned bank subsidiary, Foothills Bank & Trust. Effective November 1, 2018, Foothills Bancorp has been merged with and into SmartFinancial, and Foothills Bank & Trust has been merged with and into SmartBank. Based on financial data as of September 30, 2018, the combined company has total consolidated assets of approximately $2.3 billion. BROCK CORDER

Brock Corder received his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (2000) and his Masters in Business Administration (2002) from the Manderson Graduate School of Business at The University of Alabama. Brock began his real estate career at the age of 19, receiving his real estate salesperson license and began investing in real estate.  After graduation Brock began working in real estate full time as project planner and developer for AIG Baker in Birmingham. In late 2005, Brock came back to Tuscaloosa to continue his career in real estate partnering with Lynn Corder and Wendell Barton to form Builders Group Development, which is the development arm of The Builders Group.  In 2006, Brock was also named President of The Builders Group. In 2011, Brock was recognized by his peers as the “Builder of the Year”. The Builders Group has been ranked among the Top 250 homebuilders in the nation six times, has been recognized on both a local and state level for its homebuilding and remodeling projects, and has grown to be one of the largest builders in the State. Brock is actively involved with the local, state, and national Home Builders Associations. He serves on the Boards of Directors for Tuscaloosa County Industrial Development Authority and Indian Hills Country Club.  Brock holds the Certified Graduate Builder designation through the NAHB, and also holds his Real Estate Brokers license.
