Kelly Headden is the Senior Vice President of BARBERMcMURRY architects, an architectural design firm located in Knoxville, Tenn. He joined the architect firm in 1989 and since has worked in multiple roles including project manager, director of design and firm principal. He served as the principal designer at the University of Tennessee Student Union, Joint Institute for Advanced Materials and the Science and Engineering Research Facility. Headden’s project highlights include other universities, churches and science facility designs. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee, and is registered with the National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB). He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, United States Green Building Council and University of Tennessee Chancellors Association. Headden’s accomplishments include serving as a board member for the Trinity Health Foundation, Sevier County Economic Development Council and The University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Designs Dean’s Advocacy Board of Directors, among several others.
