On November 1st, SmartFinancial, Inc., Knoxville, Tennessee (“SmartFinancial”) (Nasdaq: SMBK), parent company of SmartBank, announced the completion of its previously-announced acquisition of Foothills Bancorp, Inc., Maryville, Tennessee (“Foothills Bancorp”), and Foothills Bancorp’s wholly owned bank subsidiary, Foothills Bank & Trust. Effective November 1, 2018, Foothills Bancorp has been merged with and into SmartFinancial, and Foothills Bank & Trust has been merged with and into SmartBank. Based on financial data as of September 30, 2018, the combined company has total consolidated assets of approximately $2.3 billion. Marsha Yessick, ASID

Marsha Yessick, ASID, is the owner of Yessick’s Design Center, established in 1978. She has three locations spread throughout the Tennessee Valley, as well as one location in Nashville. She also owns and designs for Yessick’s Collection, which manufactures lamps shipping nationally and internationally. Her accreditations include NICDQ qualified and she is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Yessick’s community involvement includes her chair positions for fund raisers and also serving as a board member for the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera Guild, UTC Human Ecology, Chattanooga Boys Choir and Tennessee State ASID. She was also the first woman Rotarian in the Chattanooga area, and is still a current member at the Hamilton Place Rotary Club. Yessick’s involvement with SmartBank includes her legacy role as an organizer for Cornerstone Community Bank and a board member for twenty years. She and her husband are active members of The First Centenary Methodist Church.
