SMARTFINANCIAL, INC. COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF FOOTHILLS BANCORP, INC.
On November 1st, SmartFinancial, Inc., Knoxville, Tennessee (“SmartFinancial”) (Nasdaq: SMBK), parent company of SmartBank, announced the completion of its previously-announced acquisition of Foothills Bancorp, Inc., Maryville, Tennessee (“Foothills Bancorp”), and Foothills Bancorp’s wholly owned bank subsidiary, Foothills Bank & Trust. Effective November 1, 2018, Foothills Bancorp has been merged with and into SmartFinancial, and Foothills Bank & Trust has been merged with and into SmartBank. Based on financial data as of September 30, 2018, the combined company has total consolidated assets of approximately $2.3 billion. Hong Tran

Hong Tran is the Operations Services Director for the Baptist Heart & Vascular Institute of Baptist Health Care, which is the largest cardiovascular program in northwest Florida and south Alabama. With over 12 years of health care experience, Hong is directly involved in the development and implementation of growth and operational strategies for the cardiovascular service line, responsible for the direction of quality and patient experience efforts and has oversight for the cardiothoracic surgery service line, Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program, and Cardiopulmonary Rehab. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Pensacola, Florida, Hong is an active member of the community. Hong serves on numerous boards, most recently as President of the Pensacola Young Professionals. During her tenure, Mentor Pensacola, a mentorship program dedicated to connecting young professionals and community leaders, was implemented. In addition, she is a “Big” volunteer and Chair-Elect of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida Board. She is also a volunteer with the Fiesta Forces. Hong is an alum of Leadership Pensacola and Leadership Florida’s Connect Florida Class VI. Hong holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and dual Masters (MBA and MA) with a concentration in health care from the University of West Florida.
